This summer has been filled with lots of projects and attempts to learn new things.  After the untimely death of my last laptop, I decided it might be time to build a PC of my own.  So after a few days of work, I now have my very own tailored art and business machine, ready for cranking out 3d models, editing photos/videos and designing my future prints.  

I spent the month of June helping as an instructor for the Glassworks camp at Third Degree Glass Factory in St. Louis.  It was a wonderful and exhausting experience.  Each week I got to teach a different group of children how to work with hot glass.  I walked them through the steps of making various small projects both solid and blown.  It was great seeing so many kids introduced to a medium that I love at such an early age.  It always makes me happy to see children interested in something that's unlike anything they've seen before.  

This April after having applied several times I had a piece accepted into Bullseye's biennial emerging artist show "E-Merge."  I spent a wonderful weekend in Portland, OR visiting friends, seeing art and even had a chance to tour the Bullseye factory.  At the E-Merge reception I was amazed by the variety of skilled artwork created using one specific type of glass.
